The City of Cerritos is excited to announce the reopening of the Cerritos Iron-Wood Nine Golf Course on Friday, May 24. Beginning on Friday, May 17, golfers may make reservations through a new tee time reservation system online at cerritos.us. Payment will be collected on site at the Cerritos Iron-Wood Nine Pro Shop. Golfers will be asked to present identification that matches their reservation.
Updated improvements at Cerritos Iron-Wood Nine Golf Course include turf repairs, tee box renovations, new golf hole description signs installed at every hole, interior and exterior clubhouse improvements, course-wide landscape enhancements, new range balls, new food vendor area, installation of benches and umbrellas at driving ranges, new picnic tables, reconstruction of numerous golf holes, new driving range carts for ball collection, renovations of signage on Piuma Road, reconditioning of all sand bunkers, installation of benches and golf ball washers at all tee boxes, minor course modifications to holes five and six and so much more. "The City of Cerritos is thrilled to have the Golf Course open to our residents once again," remarked Cerritos Mayor Naresh Solanki. "Golfers will be excited to see all the improvements made to the course and clubhouse along with our new reservation system."
To accommodate further repairs to the course, an additional closure will be announced at a later date. Once this date is finalized, the City will provide further updates.
Background
The Golf Course was closed in December 2022 after a gasoline leak was identified on a privately owned existing pipeline on site. The leak was stopped and repair work began immediately. The driving range, which was not directly impacted by the pipeline leak, was reopened to the public last year. For more information, please call the Pro Shop at (562) 916-8400.
How to book a tee time
- Click "Book a Tee Time" in the bottom right-hand corner of the page.
- Select date, time and number of players (A maximum of four). One tee time per day; up to one week in advance.
- Create an account. You will need to provide your name, email and phone number.
- All new accounts will default to "non-resident" until residency verification occurs at the Pro Shop by presenting current photo I.D..
- Confirm Reservation.
- All payments will be made at the Pro Shop upon check-in.
- Photo I.D. required at check-in.

The City of Cerritos Iron-Wood Nine Golf Course is one of the nicest nine-hole executive courses in the area. The driving range is lighted and offers the option of hitting off grass or mats when available. Rental hand carts and clubs are available. Reservations for the course can be made up to one week in advance.
Cerritos residents must present a valid California Driver’s License or a valid California ID with current Cerritos address. Residents that have not secured a new California issued ID with a current Cerritos address must present an ID and provide a utility bill, rent receipt, tax bill, escrow papers, credit card, bank statement, or car registration that is postmarked within the last 60 days.
