In 1972, Southern California Security Centers, Inc. started its business under the name of Armor Lock and Security, offering highly skilled locksmiths in all aspects of residential, commercial and industrial locking hardware. With a background in electrical engineering, Southern California Security Centers, Inc. expanded to include electronic hardware when the electronic hardware industry was a growing industry.
Southern California Security Centers, Inc. developed a dealer relationship with a company that manufactured very high-end components and access control products for the government, and these products were used in military installations. Accordingly, the dealer decided to scale down the product and make it suitable to small and large businesses, which led Southern California Security Centers, Inc. to sell this type of access control product. Because of its locksmith roots, the company also became an expert in electromechanical hardware.
In 1985, the company incorporated under the name of Southern California Security Centers, Inc., and currently has four retail stores and a fleet of more than 30 service and installation vehicles. Southern California Security Centers, Inc. offers residential and automotive locksmith services, commercial locksmith services, sales and service for a variety of safes for residential and commercial uses and home automation and security service installation. The company carries products such as Kwikset, Weslock, Weiser, Baldwin, Emtek, Marks, Master, Stanley, Rockwood and Dexter.
The department that handles the electromechanical hardware portion of the business has grown tremendously, and now provides and installs the hardware for most of the major alarm companies in Southern California. For 47 years, Southern California Security Centers, Inc. has strived to provide the best locksmith experience for the customer with the best products available in the locksmith industry.
